Does my site look AI generated?
Paste a URL and this checker lists the defaults that make vibe coded websites look alike: stock phrases, vague buttons, stock headline shapes, the default gradient, font and components. Each finding shows what it found, why it reads as default and what to change. It is a heuristic with visible rules, not a detector.

What the checker looks for
It fetches the public HTML and CSS of the page you paste, the way a browser would, and for a site that is built in the browser it also reads the strings in its JavaScript bundle. Then it runs fourteen fixed checks. Each has a maximum number of points, and the maxima add up to 100.
- Copy: stock verbs, filler adjectives, social proof with nobody named, unmeasured speed claims, generic button labels, stock headline shapes, decorative emoji and em-dash density.
- Design and stack: gradient heroes and gradient text, the default indigo and violet accent, Inter, Geist or no chosen typeface, shadcn/ui on its default theme, Lucide icons, and the three-card, frosted-glass layout.
- Builder markers from Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit, Framer and others are reported but never scored: what built a site says nothing about how it reads.
Why these patterns make sites look the same
None of these is a mistake on its own. The trouble is that they are the defaults, so they tend to arrive together, and a visitor who has seen ten such sites reads the eleventh as interchangeable.

What it cannot tell you
This is a heuristic, not a detector. The phrase list and the patterns are our own judgement of common defaults. They were not derived from a measured set of AI-built and hand-built sites, and there is no accuracy figure because none has been measured. A hand-written site can score high and a generated one can score low.
It reads what the server sends. For a site built in the browser it falls back to the strings in the JavaScript bundle, which is less precise, and copy loaded later from an API is not seen at all.
It says nothing about whether your page converts. A page with none of these defaults can still be unclear, and a page with several can work fine for its audience.
Questions
Is this a vibe coded website detector?
Not in the sense the name suggests. No tool can inspect a page and reliably tell you it was generated, and this one does not try. It lists the specific defaults it found, with the evidence, so you can decide which ones to change.
How do I make my site look less AI generated?
Start with what visitors read first: the headline and the main button label. Make both specific to your product. Then change the theme, meaning one accent colour, a typeface you chose and your own corner radius, rather than rebuilding the components. The fix under each finding says what to do.
Why did my site score high when I wrote it by hand?
Because the checks look for the defaults, not for AI. If you chose Inter, shadcn/ui and a violet gradient yourself, those are still the patterns visitors associate with generated sites. Whether that matters for your audience is your call.
Do you keep the URLs I check?
The result is cached for ten minutes so a repeat check does not fetch the page again, and the host name and score are written to the server log. The host name is also sent to Google Analytics as a usage event, like the rest of this site's measurement. There is no account and nothing is stored against you.
